Ladies,

You have heard me talk about the need to be respectful of each other and our golf courses as we play in ARFAX events. I am attaching an ARFAX Code of Conduct that was approved in our Executive Committee meeting on February 15, 2024. 

The USGA is placing greater emphasize on the expected standards for player conduct.  It has declared that “players are expected to play in the spirit of the game by acting with integrity and showing consideration to others.”  It has gone so far as to replace the previous concept of “breach of etiquette” with more direct and stronger phrases, such as “misconduct” and “serious misconduct.”  The USGA strongly encourages all golf organizations to adopt a Code of Conduct setting expectations so that players are on notice that serious misconduct could result in some type of sanction.

The Code speaks to the three most important elements of conduct – etiquette, sportsmanship, and integrity.  It provides examples of possible violations, addressing and reporting those violations, and sanctions.

Please take a moment to review the Code in preparation for your play in ARFAX matches and tournaments in 2024..
